There’s definitely not a shortage of romance in Bali – if that’s what you’re after. We adored every minute we had in Bali and I’m stoked to share these tips with you!
1. Slow Dancing Under the Full Moon
- While we were in Nusa Dua we were able to experience the full moon over the Indian Ocean.
- The air was electric as we walked through the gardens at night, seeing the oversized moon brightly shining through the exotic trees and reflecting off the fountains, pools and the Ocean.
- We found a deserted pavilion on the edge of the St Regis and slow danced as the full moon serenaded us into our lifetime of love.
2. Kayuputi Restuarant – Nusa Dua
- Kayuputi means “white wood” and the concept of this beachfront fine dining restaurant was beautiful, crisp, and the food was absolutely incredible.
- Of course, I ordered the Indian Ocean seafood dish and not only was the fish out of this world good – the sauces alongside were nothing I’ve ever tasted before!
- Our experience was divine from the moment we arrived at our private table along the beach, to the special honeymoon note they left at our table, our multi-course meal all the way to desert. Perfection.

3. Dulang – Nusa Dua
- Dulang is a dreamy Balinese concept restaurant that was one of the highlights of Nusa Dua for me. Upon arrival, your escorts share that you are about to experience the life of Balinese Royalty.
- The live Balinese musicians set the tone as you walk into the open-air restaurant in the middle of the most stunning gardens.
- There are heavy wood-carved room dividers along the edges and the lighting is perfect. (Ladies, you know how important lighting can be!)
- Once seated, a beautiful Balinese woman came over to rinse our hands with flower water – which was literally one of the most beautiful smells I’ve ever smelled. I wanted all the flower water!
- The meal commenced with over 10 courses of traditional Balinese cuisine, desert, and accompanying beverages and teas.
- As dessert was served the traditional Balinese dancers had us in awe with their exotic dancing that includes precise placement of not only the dancer’s bodies but their fingers, toes, and eyes… the hyper-extended fingers and movements were nothing I’ve ever seen and I was captivated.
4. Sunrise over the Indian Ocean
- How many times do you get to see this? We got up super early and it was so worth it.
- The colors over the Indian Ocean were incredible and the water looked like glass. You can’t tell where the sky ends and the water begins – it all looks like a dreamy spot in one of my vision meditations.
- SO romantic!
5. Couples Massages – On-resort or Off-resort
- Exploring the different massage offerings in Bali was so much fun and so relaxing. The St Regis Spa, Iridium, had the BEST traditional Balinese Massage experience on the island.
- The flowers in the flower water set the tone immediately as you begin the pampering of royalty.
- We also tried the four-hands massage when we went off-resort to a nearby spa. The spa was beautiful, the staff was so lovely, and the four-hands massage was mind-blowing.
- The four-hands massage techniques were in unison as if the massage therapist were performing a dance along your aching muscles relieving tension as four magical magnets pulled out any stress you may have left.
- My favorite spa experience was in uBud at the Four Seasons Sayan – the massage therapists were literally the best I have ever experienced in my life all in a private villa surrounded by a lotus pond and the natural sounds of the jungle to accompany you into sweet bliss as your mind let’s go.
6. The Famous Balinese Flower Bath
- Both the St. Regis and Four Seasons Sayan created incredibly beautiful flower baths for us upon arrival. There’s something so divine about bathing in flowers – so dreamy, sexy, and natural.
There are so many romantic things to do in Bali – even if it’s just lounging at the pool or in your poolside cabana. Which we also did a LOT of – that’s for sure.
I wouldn’t have changed a thing! Our trip to Bali was perfection and so inspiring! For more tips on Bali check out my upcoming articles on uBud and Bali | 8 Sexy Adventures.
Which of these would you like to do? If you’ve been to Bali – what else should we add to the list? I’m excited to hear what you all think!
